1. Re: Budapest to prague. Link to the Hungarian railways site. Prices will not change. You need to book a seat as well. There are regular trains, they won't sell out unless you want a Friday afternoon ticket: you can buy a ticket here from any of the 3 main stations, which have international ticket offices where someone will speak English

We did Bratislava-Budapest, Budapest-Vienna, Vienna-Prague, and Prague-Bratislava. I couldn't find a web site in English and the sites I did find seemed to give conflicting timetables.

It takes an average of 2h 33m to travel from Budapest to Vienna by train, over a distance of around 133 miles (214 km). There are normally 20 trains per day travelling from Budapest to Vienna and tickets for this journey start from £8.09 when you book in advance. First train.

Flights from Budapest (and Schengen zone countries) arrive and depart from Terminal 2, where there is no passport control. To travel from Prague Airport to Prague city centre, you can take a shuttle, public bus or taxi – there is no direct train or metro. Ryanair flies from Budapest Airport (BUD) to Prague Airport (PRG) 3 times a week. Alternatively, Hungarian Railways (MÁV) operates a train from Budapest-Nyugati to Praha Hlavni Nadrazi every 4 hours. Tickets cost 650 Kč - 800 Kč and the journey takes 6h 41m. Airlines. Ryanair.
Budapest-Keleti to Prague by train. It takes an average of 7h 29m to travel from Budapest-Keleti to Prague by train, over a distance of around 276 miles (444 km). There are normally 20 trains per day travelling from Budapest-Keleti to Prague and tickets for this journey start from £17.69 when you book in advance. First train.
